Creusot-Montceau prides itself on its accessibility, making travel to and around the area easy for all. Trains, shuttles, speed trains, buses…

By Rail

The high-speed TGV station of Le Creusot TGV provides easy access from the cities of Paris, Lyon, Lille, Brussels and the rest of France.

With TER Bourgogne-Franche-Comté trains running frequently, you can easily get around the region , giving you more time to see everything Burgundy has to offer, including Dijon, Beaune, Chalon-sur-Sâone, Paray-le-Monial or Nevers.

A convenient and cost-effective way to explore the destination is using the TER train while you are visiting the urban community of Creusot-Montceau. A special fare « monRéZO » is available from all SNCF train stations in Creusot-Ville and Montceau-les-Mines. Every little helps with travelling budgets, think about asking at the counter.
Construction work on Dijon-Nevers train line
The train line between Dijon and Nevers will be closed for constrcution work from Juy 10 2023 to February 16 2024.
Replacement coaches stopping in Montchanin, Le Creusot-Ville, Marmagne and Saint-Symphorien-de-Marmagne will be available.
Train traffic between Montchanin, Montceau-les-Mines and Paray-le-Monial may also be affected.

monRéZO TGV shuttle bus

These shuttle buses allow passengers to reach the train station of Le Creusot TGV from all town centres and TER train station of Le Creusot  and Montceau-les-Mines.

According to the day and time of travel, the shuttle bus is either on a regular timetable or by booking. (check the timetable below to find out more).


1 ride: 1,20 € (ticket sold by the driver only, pay buy cash, exact change required)
10 rides: 9,00 €.


Bookings by telephone at the following number  +33 (0)3 85 69 01 10, Monday to Friday between 9,00aam and 12.30 pm and from 1.30 pm to 5pm (excludes public holidays).

Be careful! All bookings must be completed before 4pm the day before you travel at the latest. If you are travelling on a Saturday, Sunday or Monday, the booking must be complete before 4pm on the Friday prior to travelling.

The Buses monRéZO

monRéZO is the bus network of the urban community of Creusot Montceau:

  • 3 bus lines dedicated to Le Creusot (C1, C2 and C3) cover the towns of Montcenis, Le Breuil and Montchanin.
  • 4 bus lines dedicated to Montceau-les-Mines (M1, M2, M3 and M4) cover the towns of Blanzy, Saint-Vallier and Sanvignes. The M4 line covers the main educational centers of Montceau.
  •  TAD lines (transport on request) operates on bookings only to travel to villages (timetables and reservation - in French only).

Day Fare: 3,60 € (unlimited rides, ticket sold by the driver only)
Monthly Fare: 24,00 €, discount ticket 12,00 €

Regional Coaches Mobigo

To reach the towns of Chalon-sur-Saône, Autun, Digoin or Gueugnon from the TGV train station or directly from Le Creusot and Montceau, you can use the coach network Mobigo, provided by the region of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté.
