Les Beaux Bagages - Les escales rugissantes

Giant and exciting, like this new edition of Les Rugissantes! It's summer and the street arts festival returns to put Le Creusot in intense artistic turmoil for three days. A bubble of contemplation, wonder, celebration, poetry, diverse and varied opinions, meetings, thoughts and parties.

Giant and delightful, like Plume, the "little" wicker puppet made by the thousands of hands of the Creusotins. It has been two years since the wonderful encounter with the company of the Standing Man began... This residency, the first of its kind for our festival but certainly not the last, has allowed us to participate directly in an artistic creation, to contribute to the history of this 7m friend who will perform this weekend and who will stay in our city.

Giant and bubbling, like this irascible will to link, to arouse curiosity, to meet, to discover what we don't know, to listen to everyone and to appreciate diversity. In a society sick of its hatreds, in a Europe at war, in a world that no longer listens to itself and follows the paths of a mad race, here we respect freedoms, we leave room for creation, we allow the arts and artists to open up other paths and to express themselves.

Giant and militant, like culture. Like the political choice to have created this festival, to have supported it even during the covid period. We are proud of it. We have made the arts in the public space a priority, because what better way to open up to everyone, to facilitate access, to live our city differently.

The human adventure of this festival, as part of the Beaux Bagages' summer season, is both great and engaging. Nearly 200 people are involved behind the scenes: artists, technicians, volunteer teams, municipal teams... Without them, nothing would be possible. We would like to thank them warmly.

And thousands of thanks also to all of you, to the ever-growing audience, probably more than 20,000 this weekend. These Roaring Twins are giants!
