The increase in the amount of data transmitted around the world, the popularisation of confidential exchanges and, more generally, the digitalisation of society are increasing the risks for the State, economic players and citizens.
This notion of confidentiality has spread very widely from a field that initially concerned only diplomacy, the army or governments. Today, encrypting information has become necessary for each individual because of the commonplace exchange of information on large communication networks (Internet).
This conference aims to explain chaos cryptography using light. This technique is a hardware, not software, method based on principles derived from chaos theory. We will see how light plays a key role. The conference is aimed at the general public, students, teachers, as well as anyone legitimately curious to know the principles and to understand the functioning of this technology which underpins the security of systems and large communications networks which connect us and increasingly interconnect the objects around us.
