It was built between 1947 and 1949 by Schneider Industries in Le Creusot. Following a caring restoration effort over a 13-year period by volunteers from the Le Creusot Railroad Association, this locomotive was placed back into service on September 15, 2006 for the occasion of the European Heritage Celebration.
