Nature takes back its rights
This territory, bruised by the successive mining operations and in particular by the exploitation of open coal, was the subject of a rehabilitation led by the Community Creusot-Montceau. It was a question of reclaiming a place, without forgetting its history, while developing its attractiveness. And you will see that it is successful! Culminating point of the Discoveries, an artificial hill in a place called "Morteru" offers an exceptional panorama of Sanvignes and the surroundings but also offers a sandy path among many species of trees and shrubs. The central part with two ponds is a privileged place for the life of many wild species. The body of water called "Les Fouthiaux" offers the eyes its deep blue-green. The development of former mine sites allows everyone to enjoy nature by walking marked footpaths. Cyclists and riders can also walk around safely. - Difference in height
