With a rolling annual calendar of events, exhibitions, concerts, and theatre shows happening all around the area of Montceau-les-Mines, you’ll never be stuck for entertainment. Two main venues host most of the performances of the cultural season. The Embarcadère, a cultural and congress centre, and the Ateliers du Jour centre. Festivals such as “Tango, Swing and Bretelles”, starting at the beginning of the new school year provide entertainment throughout the year in the area of the former mining basin. Surrounding towns such as Saint-Vallier and Blanzy play host to cultural performances too.

Adding a lot to the cultural scene is a strong network of community associations. Usine Aillot for example is an unusual place halfway between a museum and a retro community bar offering various concerts and artistic shows in a friendly atmosphere.

On your next visit to Montceau, don’t miss out on the rich and diverse cultural offer whether you are travelling as a couple, with your family or friends!
